‘Winning the Peter Walker award for innovation in product means so much to me,
and I still cannot believe I won. Winning has been a marvelous experience and
a great end to a fantastic 3 years at University. Having a passion for design
and metal work and being equipped with this award, I now have the confidence,
self- belief and determination to succeed as a designer, and cannot wait to
get back into the workshop. I am so grateful to everyone, and would like
to thank the judges for awarding me with this award. I would also like to
thank the amazing tutors and technicians at Northumbria University who have
guided and helped me along the way, as without them I never would have gotten this
far and they have indeed played an important part in moulding me into the
designer I have become.’
