The DWS is pleased to sponsor The Peter Walker Award at the New Designers 2007. On the 10th anniversary of the Peter Walker Award’s support for New Designers, there will be a new award given for Innovation in Product Design.

Award Judging criteria:

The winning design in this category needs to embrace four simple things. First to be functional - it has to do its job well: second, to be clever - using new technologies materials or thinking: thirdly it has to be beautiful - there is no room for ordinary: and lastly, it should embrace responsible methodology and have a sustainability dimension built into its concept or execution. It simply needs to be both new and relevant.
